Old Treasury Buildings
The site of the Old Treasury Building is one of the most significant heritage precincts in Western Australia and has a rich history spanning more than 135 years.
The refurbishment of the site begun in 2012 and should be completed by 2015.
This is an exciting project for FJM Property as they develop a 48 luxury suite hotel with dining rooms, lounges, a library and private function areas.
This iconic location will be accessible to the people of Perth with the grand postal hall being an indoor pedestrian street linking into the St Georges Terrace Office Tower and already existing hospitality forums.
The building will also be restored to its original grandeur with the facade and roof undergoing a complete restoration with the introduction of a new welsh slate roof, decorative lacework, copper work and installation of the previously removed roof dormers. The stripping of the intrusive facade paintwork will expose the original render and character of the building.
This refurbishment is a once in a generation opportunity and the viewing of this site should not be missed. Thanks to FJM Property Open House Perth is unlocking this incredible site for public viewing during this year’s event, presenting a unique opportunity to view the Old Treasury Building as it undergoes transformation.
Former government building restored for a mix of uses including a luxury hotel and a number of retail/hospitality offerings.
