Saturday 10th November: 10am - 4pm
Sunday 11th November: 10am - 4pm
17 Lindsay Street, Perth, 6000
Robert Muir Old & Rare Books (Muir Books) was established in 1973. In 2015, Muir Books moved from Nedlands into a two storey heritage listed building on Lindsay Street in Northbridge. The building was originally a stables (built in the 1890s and registered in 1913). It was converted and renovated between 2009 and 2015, with designs by Gervas Designs and owners Rob and Janet Muir. The building is a great example of intact heritage architecture.
There will also of course be Western Australian maps and art as well as a range of out-of-print and collectable books, which will appeal to visitors interested in architecture, design, history and exploration.
Muir Books will include a marquee in the courtyard, hosting talks from local artists and authors, a coffee cart and short musical performances throughout the day. Inside the bookshop there will be a display of the work of Muir Books’ master bookbinder, who worked for the top bookbinders in the UK for many years and creates beautiful custom bindings.
