Built in 1890, the heritage listed Federation Romanesque style building is currently home to Gramercy Studios, a software development studio that specialises in designing and building web and mobile applications, and Hipflask, a local startup that is creating an app to discover and organise events in your city. The building, also known as Seeligson’s or The City Loans Office, is a well-known landmark, and has a strong and idiosyncratic presence in the city streetscape. The richly stuccoed ornamented street façade has recently been expertly restored, and you can still see remnants of The City Loans Office signage along side the street art of Grand Lane. You will find Gramercy Studios on Level 1 and Hipflask on Level 2 of this unique heritage building.
